Mrs. Wreatha Bantz, 72, of 720 Eighth, Covington, a retired teacher, died at 4:45 a. m. April 9, 1975, at St Elizabeth Hospital. She had been a patient since March 14. Born May 18, 1902, in Aylesworth community in Fountain County, she was the daughter of William Freeman and Lillian LaBaw Clark. In 1924, she was married to Nolin Bantz, who died Aug. 25, 1960. A graduate •of Attica High, she attended Mrs. Blaker's School for Primary Teachers. She started teaching at Portland Arch before her marriage. She later returned there and taught until that school was consolidated with Rob Roy, retiring after 25 years of teaching. She also taught three years in Covington before retiring. She was a member of the Union Christian Church at Aylesworth and attended the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Danville. Other memberships included the Fulton-Bant American legion Auxiliary, Troy Home Economics Club and retired Teachers Association of Fountian County. Survivors include a daughter Miss Norma Jean Bantz with whom she resided; and a sister, Mrs. Naomi Pearson of Attica. Services at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, with Margaret White as reader. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
