Roland (sic) should be Logan - Bantz, 25 years old who has been very low  at Culver Union Hospital for the past week, suffering from Spanich influenza, died yesterday evening about 6 o'clock, Pvt.Bantz for he was in the service, stationed at Camp Sherman, Ohio lived with his father, three miles south of Veedersburg on the William Dice farm.

Private Bantz left in the county draft increment of Fountain County last May 25 and was stationed in the medical corps in base hospital Number 28 at Camp Sherman.  He took sick with the foreign disease before he came home on a furlough two weeks ago. His mother preceded him in death 13 years ago.

Private Bantz was born at Covington Ind in 1893. He moved with his parents to Dakota where he lied for five years and where his mother died.  He then moved with his father to Waynetown, Ind where they lived for about three years. He had lived at his present residence about one year. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his father, two sisters, Miss Elnore Bantz, living at home and Mrs. Oliver Hudson, Attica, Indiana.

No arrangements have as yet been made for the funeral servies. The remains have been moved to Veedersburg. - kbz
