Following an illness of several years duration, Mrs. Tabitha Marie Banks, 42, of Indianapolis died at the home of her parents near Hillsboro Sunday morning Oct 11 at 11 a.m. She had been staying with her parents for the past six weeks. Death was due to a heart ailment. She was born Dec 22, 1910 west of Mellott, the daughter of Carl and Alta Porter Leighty, moving to Hillsboro where she attended Hillsboro school graduating with the class of 1928. On March 2, 1935 she was married to John Banks with all of their married life spent in Indianapolis. Mrs. Banks was a member of the Fern Chapter Order of Eastern Star of Hillsboro and of the Ben Davis Christian Church of Indianapolis. Survivors include the husband, the parents; her grandmother, Mrs. Nora Porter of Hillsboro and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Monroe Hasford of Indianapolis. – kbz
