Crawfordsville—Wyoneta Bandel, 91, died at 6:12 p.m. Friday, April 21, 1989, in Houston Health Care, Crawfordsville, where she was a resident.
She was born July 1, 1897, at Kingman, the daughter of Daniel and Candace Marshall Cleveland. She was married Aug. 29, 1925 in New York City, N. N., to Edward M. Bandel, who preceded her in death July 20, 1975.
She was a concert pianist. She had won the National Federation of Music Indiana Young Artists contest in 1920-21. She was a 1915 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and received her master’s degree at Chicago Musical College. She attended Damrasch Institute of Musical Art at New York City, and Julliard School for four years. She was a full scholarship student of Carl Friedberg.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Crawfordsville Music Club and Mu Phi Epsilon national society.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Marilyn) Harris, Modesto, Calif.; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery North. -s
