VEEDERSBURG — Roy Glenn Balser, 49, of Lafayette Route 8, died at the Danville Veterans Hospital at 5:45 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 1, 1970). Ill several years, he had been a patient since Wednesday. Mr. Balser was born in Riverside, Fountain County, Ind., on June 30, 1921, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Roy Balser. He attended West Point High School and Indiana and Butler Universities. He was a former Buick dealer in Attica and was employed at the time of his death as a salesman for Bankers Casualty Insurance Co., Lafayette. Mr. Balser was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He had been a resident of Lafayette since 1966. He was married on Nov. 1, 1966, to Margaret Loveland of Lafayette, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Roger and Terry, both at home. He was a member of the United Brethren Church, Attica. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the DeSutter Funeral Home, with burial in the Bethel Cemetery east of Attica.
