Ernest Ballah, 58, died at 1 a.m. Saturday Oct 10 of a heart attack at his home in Covington. Mr. Ballah was born Sept 11, 1895 in Fountain County, son of William and Martha Ballah. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Martha Hayman; three half-brothers: Lloyd, Lowell and Lester Hayman and a half-sister, Mrs. Bertha Payne all of Veedersburg rural Route. He was a life resident of Fountain County and was engaged in general farm work custom garden work and worked at Neal & Interstate gravel companies. Funeral services were held at 2:30 Monday at the Covington Methodist Church. Burial was in Upper Mound Cemetery. – kbz
