BALLAH, Charles Fay - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg - Charles Fay BALLAH, 67 of Queens Village, NY and formerly of Veedersburg died in his home Monday night. He was born May 22, 1921 in Fountain County to Otis F. and Elva I. Cooper Davis Ballah. He was married to Marie Guiliano on oct 24, 1943 at Brooklyn NY where they met while he was stationed there during WWII. She died March 16, 1978. He was employed at Kennedy Airport until his retirment in 1982 and was a member of the Veedersburg Post American Legion. Mr. Ballah attended schools at Veedersburg. Surviving are a son, Geoffrey of New Brunswick NJ; 3 daughters, Angela and Corrine of Brooklyn and Jena of California; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Elva Ballah of Veedersburg; four sisters, Mrs. Kelso (Eileen) Cartright, Mrs. Cecil (Margie) Hollis and Mrs. Doral (Deloris) Mitchell all of Veedersburg and Mrs. Robert (Gwen) Frees of Crawfordsville; a brother Harold R. of Veedersburg. His father is deceased. Funeral services are scheduled today in NY. The body will be returned to Parham-Shelby Funeral Home, Veedersburg where arrangements are incomplete.
