James H. Baldwin of Attica, age 47, died Tuesday afternoon, February 3, in Williamsport Community Hospital. He was born in Covington, July 8, 1933, the son of Lowell and Irene Johnson Baldwin. June 8, 1956, he married Ava Taylor, who survives.
A graduate of Attica High School, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War and had been administration manager of C & D Batteries in Attica for 26 years. Baldwin was a member and former trustee of the First United Methodist Church, member of Attica Eagles Lodge, Hillsboro American Legion and the board of directors of Peoples Building and Loan in Attica. He also served as treasurer of the C & D Batteries Credit Union for 15 years.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Cathy Morgan of RR 4, Attica; a son, Adam, at home; his parents of Attica; and a sister, Mrs. Connie Lohmeyer of Lafayette. A son, Jeffrey Lynn, 10, died in 1968.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
