BAKER, Margaret Jackson Hopper - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Margaret Fern (Hopper) Baker, 71, of Danville, Ill., formerly of Covington, died at 1:50 a.m. on Thursday at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., after having been in failing health for several years.

  She was born on March 9, 1904, in Covington, Indiana, the daughter of Baron and Cora May Hockersmith Jackson. She married Silas Hopper who died in 1970. She remarried to Ernest Baker.

  She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Covington.

  Surviving are two sons, Russell hopper of Sheridan, Ind., and Basil Hopper of Westfield, Ind.; a daughter, Mary Louise Kelly of Largo, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Kenny and Mrs. Ethel Frances, both of Covington; a brother Paul Jackson of Crawfordsville, and four grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. -s
