An Attica, Ind., woman and one of her six children were killed instantly in a two-car collision on U.S. 41 two miles south of Sebree, Ky., at 8 a.m. Saturday. Kentucky State Police at Madisonville identified the victums as Mrs. Ola Marie Bailey, 31, of 804 S. Perry St., and her 14-year-old daughter, Dianne. The nine injured were Mrs. Bailey's husband, Wayne Bailey, 34, who was driving the car; the Bailey's five other children; the driver of the other crash car, George M. Gazda, 37, Athens, A1a.; his wife, Barbara, 37, and their son, David, 8. All were treated in Hopkins County Hospital, Madisonville. Mr. Bailey and the five children are reported in "fairly good" condition. Kentucky State Police say Bailey was traveling south on U.S. 41 in a line of cars approaching the crest of a hill. He apparently pulled out of the line of traffic to pass, and his car was hit in the right side by the front of the Gazda vehicle. Bailey has been employed by the Harrison Steel Castings Co. of Attica for nine months. The company is off until Thursday, and the Bailey family was en route to Alabama to visit relatives for the holidays. The bodies have been sent to Gadsden, Ala.
