Hillsboro, May 18 - Mrs. Carrie T. Bailey, 70, wife of Frank Bailey and well known local woman, died at her home here Wednesday morning at 4 o'clock. Death was due to heart trouble. Mrs. Bailey had been bedfast for the past six weeks. The deceased was born near Bloomingdale on Sept 15, 1861, the daughter of James and Mary Floyd Tucker. After growing to womanhood in that vicinity, she was married Nov 27, 1888 to Frank Bailey of Hillsboro. Druing her early life Mrs. Bailey was a school teacher. She was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church of the Order of Eastern Star and Pythian Sisters. She is survived by the husband, two children, Mrs. Beatrick Know and Miss Betty Bailey, both at home; a granddaughter, Gene Keller, two sisters, Mrs. Amilda Pence of Indianapolis and Mrs. Seigel Byers of Whiting and an uncle, Dr. George W. Tucker of Indianapolis. Another daughter preceded her in death. The funeral services will be held at the Hillsboro Christian Church Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. HA Davis of near Indianapolis. Burial will take place in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
