BAHLS, Shirley J. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Shirley J. Bahls of Veedersburg, age 45, died Friday morning, January 21, in Chanute Air Force Base Hospital at Rantoul, Illinois. She was born at Veedersburg, July 4, 1937, the daughter of Emory and Esther Clift Cowan. January 26, 1974, she married Walter Bahls, who survives. At one time, she was employed as a lab technician at the veterans hospital at Danville, Illinois.

  Also surviving are four children, Joe M. Smith, Steven Ray Smith, Mindy Renee Smith and Wendy Kay Smith, all of Veedersburg; and two brothers, John Cowan of Kingman and Jerry Cowan of Veedersburg.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Richard Throckmorton officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg. – thanks to S
