BAHLS, Fred - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg - Fred W. Bahls, 75, 603 Newlin Street, Veedersburg died at 7:15 a.m. Dec 19, 1994 at United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville, Ill. He was born May 25, 1919 in Danville, Ill to Fred W. and Cleda Hunsaker Bahls. He married Hazel "Babe" Smith March 9, 1939 in Indianapolis. She survives. He was an owner-operator of a service station in Covington for 32 years, retiring from business in 1984. He attended the United Methodist Church in Veedersburg. He was a member of the Veedersburg F&AM #491 and Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute. Surviving besides the wife are a son, David (Karen) Bahls; two daughters, Sandra (Jim) Cawthon; Barbara Tuttle; 7 grandchildren, (Mark, Amber, Stephen, Debra, Kim, Amanda, Katie) and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg at 1 p.m. Thursday with Bob Cunningham officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery, Gessie. Masonic services were held at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
