Herman A. Babb of Danville, Illinois, age 73, died Thursday morning, July 9, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville. He was born at Steam Corner, September 29, 1907, the son of Oscar Orr and Effie Day Babb. April 1, 1926, he married Helena Petrus, who survives. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville and had been employed as a security guard for Pinkerton at Teepak and Bohn Heat Transfer. Also surviving are two sisters, Helen Carr of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Charlotte Passman of Chicago; a brother, Charles of Danville; and a stepsister, Ellen Turpin of Veedersburg.
