Newtown - Dr. Benjamin Fisher Aydelotte, 57, died at his home in Louisville, Ky at 7 a.m. Sunday. He had been ill several months. Born in Newtown, he was a graduate of Newtown HS, Wabash College and Louisville Medical School.  He had practiced in Louisville for the past 20 years.  During WWII he was a major in the Medical Corps, serving in Italy and Germany.  He was married in 1938 to Cleo Roberts and was a member of Newtown Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. Surviving with the widow are one daughter, Paula Jean at home; two sisters, Miss Ruth Aydelotte of Newtown and Mrs. Helen Ellis of Venice, Claifornia and one brother, Edward of Indianapolis.  Services and burial will be in Louisville - kbz

Dr, Benjamin Fisher Aydelotte, 57, a native of Newtown died at his home in Louisville, KY at 7 a.m. Sunday following an illness of several months.  He had practiced medicine in Louisville 20 years. Dr. Aydelotte was born in Newtown Aug 14, 1889, son of Benjamin and Mary Fisher Aydelotte.  He was graduated from Newtown HS in 1918, was graduated from Wabash College in 1924 and received his degree at the University of Louisville Medical School.  He was a Lt. Colonel in the Army Medical Corps during WWII and served in Italy and Africa from 1942-1946.  Dr. Aydelotte was a member of Newtown Methodist Church and the Richmond Lodge F&AM.  He married Cleo Roberts June 24, 1938 and she survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Paula Jean, age 11; two sisters, Miss Ruth Aydelotte of Newtown and Mrs. Helen Ellis of Venice, Calif and a brother, Edward of Indianapolis. Services were held Tuesday in Louisville at the Crowley Funeral Home – kbz
