Covington - Roy M. "Bill" Auter, 88 Covington died 9:51 p.m. Dec 17 1992 at United Sam Med Center, Logan Campus,Danville, Ill. Born Sept 15, 1904 south of Attica, son of Saul and Mary Smith Auter. He married Lula Noble on June 6 1928 at Crawfordsville. She preceded him Feb 29, 1992. He was a resident of Covingington most of his life, a member of the First Church of Christ. He was a farmer many years, laborer at Interstete Sand & Gravel Co for many years and later employed at Covington IGA. Surviving are 3 daughters ... two sisters, Georgia Bowles and Hannah Kigt both of Crawfordsville; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Burial was in Mt. Hope.
