ATWOOD, Helen Coffing - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Helen M. Atwood of RR 4, Veedersburg, age 77, died Tuesday night, July 28, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. She was born in the Osborne Prairie area of Fountain County, September 28, 1902, the daughter of Ferman and Laura Knowles Coffing. August 19, 1947, she married Clifford Atwood, who survives. She attended high school in Clinton, Illinois, and was a member of the Clinton Christian Church.  Also surviving are a son, Frank Burr of RR 4, Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Jesse Gnaden of Danville, Illinois; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Terry Green officiating. Burial was in the cemetery at Rossville, Illinois. – thanks to S
