MARSHALL — Mrs. Omega Atkinson, 68, of Marshall, died today in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. She was a member of the Marshall Home Economics Club and Marshall Neighbors Club. She worked at Turkey Run Inn. Born Jan. 30, 1908, she was a daughter of Alonzo and Almeda Lawson Hutts of Tangier. She married Fred Atkinson on Feb. 1, 1926, at Rockville. Survivors are her husband; three sons, Vernon of Chiefland, Fla., Robert of Bridgedon and Michael of Indianapolis; four daughters, Mrs. Treva Smith of Rockville, Mrs. Virginia Welch of St. Petersburg, Mrs. Sandra Reedy of Rockville and Mrs. Sharon Davis of Indianapolis; two brothers, Fred and Hansel, both of Tangier; five sisters, Mrs. Vera Lamb and Mrs. Ura Kiger, both of Tangier, Mrs. Carrie Davis of Indianapolis, Mrs. Ruby Dodson of Hillsboro and Mrs. Ruth Catterson of Bloomingdale; 29 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Rice Funeral Home at Marshall.
