ATKINSON, Frank H. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG — Frank H. Atkinson, 80, of 604 N. Newlin St., former owner and operator of Atkinson's Grocery here several years, died Wednesday afternoon in Lake View Medical Center at Danville, Ill. He was a member of the First Christian Church and Lions Club. He was born in Fountain County on Dec. 31, 1897, a son of Cyrenus and Candace McKenzie Atkinson. He was married to Ruby Caldwell on Nov. 29, 1960, at Covington. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Vivian) Scott of Charleton, Iowa, and Mrs. William (Delores) Kruger of Stewart, Fla.; a brother, C.W. of Moorhead, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Christian Church of Veedersburg with the Rev. William Ringold officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the Parham Funeral Home 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
