ATKINSON, Elmer - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

KINGMAN -- Elmer Atkinson, age 74, died Thursday, Sept 14, 1967 at his home in Kingman. He was born in Fountain Co Jan 23, 1893, the son of Milton & Arthelia Barker Atkinson. He was a life resident of the community. He was married Dec 15, 1912 to Ada Smith who survives. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Centennial EUB Church and the Cates Modern Woodmen Lodge. Survivors include: four sister, Mrs. Wanetta Lyness of W. Lebanon, Mrs. Mildred Fisher of Detroit, MI; Mrs. Sybil Myers of Waynetown and Mrs. Mary Lankin of Danville, Il. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman. The Rev. Phil Edward officiated and burial was in Centennial Cemetery.
