ATCHISON, Oliver - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ollie Atchison, the 16-year-old son of Samuel Atchison living SE of Kingman committed suicide last Sunday. He and a young companion were lounging in the shade Sunday afternoon when he got up and went to the barn, remaining but a few minutes. Shortly after returning he fell in convulsions, which continued until Monday morning. He told his parents that he had taken arsenic and wanted to die. He was a bright boy, well liked in the community and no cause is known for the rash act.
