COLLISON — David Bain Ashcraft, 56, a life resident of Collison, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 14, 1968) in Carle Memorial Hospital, Urbana, where he had been a patient 10 days. Born Sept. 8, 1912 at Collison, he was the son of Harry L. and Hannah Raine Ashcraft. Mr. Ashcraft had been employed as custodian at Newtown Grade School until his illness. Survivors include the widow, the former Marjorie Acton; a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Curtis, Hillsboro, Ind.; a son, David Bain Ashcraft, at home; two brothers, Harry of Collison and Claude of Rossville; a sister, Mrs. Lena Cook, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister. The body is at Lanham Funeral Home at Potomac. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

POTOMAC (CNS) -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Collison Methodist Church for David B. Ashcraft, 57, who died Saturday (Sept. 14, 1968) at Carle Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient there 10 days. The Rev. Oliver Harmon Kelly will officiate. Burial will be in the Collison Cemetery. Masonic Rites will be by the Collison Masonic Lodge 714. The body is at the Lanham Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today. He had been custodian at the Newtown Consolidated Grade School. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 714, serving as master in 1951, Danville Scottish Rite and the Methodist Church.
