Mrs. Effie C. Arvin 58, died Wed. night at 10 o'clock at her hom e in Waveland. Born Jun 8, 1686 (sic) in Larue Co, Ky, she was the d/o Nathan and Martha Carlyle. She was marr. Dec 21, 1904 to Robert Arvin. She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. The survivors include the husband; 8 children; Mrs. Cecil Tubin of Kingman; Mrs. clyde Palmer of Kingman; Willard F and Stanley J both of Indianapolis; Mrs. Virginia Oliver of Chicago; Robert, Jr. in the armed service and Catherine and Charles both at home and 7 grandchildren.
Note: The same obituary was in the Waveland newspaper July 23, 1944 except the date was corrected to June 8, 1886 and the following was added: The funeral was conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Phanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Raymond Skelton officiating. Burial in the Lutheran cemetery. --kbz
