Willard Andrews, a farmer living on the John Walter farm south of Wingate was killed when his car turned turtle near the farm of Clair Quillin on the Crawfordsville-Waynetown Road on Monday evening of last week. Mrs. Quillin, who saw the accident states that the machine was going at a reasonable rate of speed and that it veered from the road, crashed into a telephone pole and turned over. She summoned help and when Mr. Andrews was lifted from the car his neck was found broken. Mr. Andrews came from Illinois more than two years ago and had been living on the old John Walter farm. He is survived by a wife and six children. He bore a high reputation in the farming community of which he was a member. Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning of last week at 10 o’clock at the home after which the body was taken to Walnut Grove cemetery in Illinois for burial.
