ANDERSON, Samuel I. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

WEST LEBANON, Ind. - Samuel I. Anderson, 79, of Pine Village, died Thursday night (Jan. 29, 1970) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. Death was unexpected. Mr. Anderson was born Aug. 10, 1890, in Washington County near South Boston, son of Isaac and Mary Ellen Williams Anderson. A retired farmer, he had lived in the Warren County community since 1913. He married Dora Morlan on Sept. 24, 1913, in Marshfield. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Paul Johnson of Pine Village; two sons, Roy of Williamsport, Ralph of Joshua Tree, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence Thomas of Walcott; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Crowmer-Siddens Chapel in West Lebanon, with the Rev. Grover Williams officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
