ANDERSON, Rex E. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Rex E. Anderson, 69, of 916 Cleveland, died at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday (May 15, 1973) at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he had been a patient since May 1. He was born Jan. 31, 1904, in Illinois, the son of John and Ella Renshaw Anderson. He was married May 19, 1940, in Champaign, to Mildred Streding, who survives. He had formerly worked for the old Coffing Hoist Co. He had last worked as a self-employed carpenter. Other survivors are two sons Gene of Monee and Richard of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Irene Peters of Georgetown, and three grandchildren. A son, Donald, four brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Barrick & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
