Perrysville—John Anderson, 71, Perrysville, died 5 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill.
He was born July 10, 1902, at Clinton the son of John L. and Sophia Reed Anderson. He was married Oct. 26, 1925, to Margaret Gibson, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James E. (Barbara) Gracewell, Danville, Ill.; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, George Anderson, Decatur, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Evans, Clinton; Mrs. Leona Turner, West Terre Haute. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
He had been a resident of the Perrysville area since 1932. He was a former resident of Clinton and attended Clinton schools. He was an electrician, working in construction for over 25 years. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 538 of Danville, Ill. His hobby was fishing.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Henry Karg officiating. Burial will be at Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 p.m. Tuesday. – thanks to S
