Veedersburg -- Kenneth L. Anders, age 47, father of Mrs. James (Mary) Shoemaker of Covington, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville late Saturday, March 23, after a one week illness. Born Sept. 25, 1915, at Sidney, Ill., he was the son of Harvey and Louise Gudenpfening Anders. He was married to Wilhelmenia Anders on June 24, 1939, and she survives. Mr. Anders had been employed at the Fountain Foundry at Veedersburg. Survivors include his wife; his parents of Sidney; three sons, Kenneth of Veedersburg, Dwight and Gilbert, both at home; a daughter, Mrs. James (Mary) Shoemaker of Covington; a sister, Mrs. Lotta Foster of Sidney; a brother, Charles of Sidney; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fishero Funeral Home. The Rev. James Dyson officiated. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
