VEEDERSBURG — Harold Amos, 87, formerly of Veedersburg, died Monday, Sept. 8, at St. Margaret Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. He had been ill for several months. He was born at Brookfield, Kansas, June 14, 1882, the son of Mordecai and Alice Amos. He grew up in Kansas, was a graduate of Kansas State College, and taught school 45 years. He was a resident of Veedersburg for 20 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Veedersburg. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Britain, Kansas City, Mo., two sons, Harold W. Amos, Fresno, Calif., and Max Amos, Wichita, Kansas, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Harrington Funeral Home at Bonner Springs, Kansas. Burial was at Manhattan, Kansas.
