Covington - Two Kingman motorcyclists were killed instantly early Saturday when their motorcycle crashed into a guard rail on US 136 three-quarters of a mile west of here on US 136. The accident victims were Carl Leon Smith, 27, and Robert Earl Alward, 34, both of Rt 1, Kingman. Both were believed returning to their homes when the accidnet occurred. Alward was born in Fountain County Dec 28, 1927, the son of Earl and Bernice ROdgers Alward. On Oct 29, 1949, he married Oveta Allen. He was employed as a printer at the Tee Pak plant in Danville, Ill. Survivors include the widow; the parents who live at Kingman; two daughtesr, Rita Lynn and Tina Jo and a son, Kenneth Wayne all at home. Other survivors are a brother, Paul Alward of Waynetown and three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Crowder of Kingman and Mrs. Betty Gross and Mrs. Ruth Ann Prather, both of Waynetown. The body is at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
