ALWARD, Mary Harrison - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mary Harrison ALWARD daughter of Cuthbert and Jemima Harrison was b. near Marysville, Ky Sept 29, 1819 departed this life Nov 14, 1911 aged 92 years 1 months and 15 days. In early childhood she with her parents migrated to Ft Co where the active and industrious life was spent. On July 2, 1840 she was united in married to Tim Alward. To this union 11 children were born, 3 having preceded her to the better land many years ago. She leaves one sister, Sarah Myers, 4 sons, 4 daughters, 14 (?) grandchildren and 25 greats, 2 great greats a host of friends to mourn her departure. During the year 1885 under the pastorate of Rev. JF Phillips and others at the Old Buffalo Grange Hall she gave her heart to God and became a member of the Freedom church always believing and trusting in the promises of God. Having lived into the 5th gen. she was only anxiously awaiting the Master's call. The funeral was held at the Wallace church Thursday November 16 at 1 o'clock conducted by Rev JJ Patterson of Danville, ill.
