  • Kingman—Mrs. Mary Gooding Alward, 87, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alfred Crone, in the Wolf Creek neighborhood, south of Kingman, at 8:30 o’clock Sunday night after an illness of 15 months. Mrs. Alward suffered a stroke of paralysis, which caused her death.
  •   Born Sept. 18, 1860 near Wallace, Mrs. Alward was the daughter of Thomas and Phoebe Sowers Gooding. Her marriage to George T. Alward took place Dec. 24, 1881. Mr. Alward died several years ago.
  •   In addition to the daughter at whose home Mrs. Alward died, a son, Eston Alward of RFD 1, Marshall, also survives, together with five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
  •   Funeral services at the Wolf Creek Baptist Church at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon in charge of Rev. Cornelius Airhart, of New Market. Burial in Wolf Creek Cemetery. – thanks to S&E
