Kingman – Helen V. Alward, 87, formerly of Kingman died in the Ernie Pyle Health Center at Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette early Wednesday. She was born in Perth, Indiana on Sept 17, 1904. She married Claude Alward on Feb 16, 1924. He died on August 5, 1980. Mrs. Alward was a homemaker and a member of Friends Union Church near Grange Corner and Kingman Order of Eastern Star Lodge. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Claudine) Derr of Lafayette and Phyllis Renzetti of Herndon VA and a sister, Firma Phillips of Kingman. --transcribed by kbz
