ALWARD, Bloomer - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Bloomer W. Alward, 88, aged resident of the Wallace community died at two o'clock Sat urday afternoon December 13 following a period of illness. He was born August 2, 1854 near Wallace and spent almost his entire lifetime in that community. Two wives preceded him in death; they were Jane McElwee and Mary Bowers. He was the son of Ira and Mary Harrison Alward. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs.Dessa Childers of Hoopeston Ill and two sisters, Mrs Ella Philpott, Powell, Wyo and Mrs. Mahala Bruner of Wallace. Funeral services were Monday morning at his home.
