Arthur Alward, 65 retired Fountain County farmer, died Tuesday at a Logansport Hospital following an illness of two years duration. He was born in Jackson Township, Fountain County October 28, 1887 Mr. Alward was the son of Lewis and Isabelle Campbell Alward. He was married to the former Celia Zakmire of Jackson Township. Mr. Alward retired from his farm duties two years ago becuase of illness. He held membership in the Wallace Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Alward of Lebanon and Harold Alward of Kingman a brother, Elmer also of Kingman and 4 grandchildren. The body is at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman where services will be conducted Friday morning at 10:30 CDT with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs of Veedersburg in charge. Burial will be made in Zackmire Cemetery.
