Rossville, Ill.—Viola Blanche Allison, 78, Rossville, died at 8:07 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 1989 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, Ill.
She was born Oct. 21, 1910 in Sloan, Ind., the daughter of William and Lora Reed Pittman. She was married Feb. 14, 1931 to Roy E. Allison, who preceded her in death June 18, 1982.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Henning, Ill.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Sue White, Charleston, Ill.; a son, William E. “Bill”, Waynetown; three grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Paul Allison, Rossville, She was also preceded in death by a sister, a brother and a grandson.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wolfe Funeral Home, Rossville, with the Rev. Tim Stanwood and the Rev. Edna Phelps officiating. Burial was in Mann’s Chapel Cemetery. – thanks to s
