SARASOTA, Fla. — Viola Mae Campbell Dill Allen, 76, Sarasota, Fla., died at I.H.S. of Beneva in Sarasota, Fla. from congestive heart failure. She was born Dec. 18, 1925 in Attica, the daughter of Genevieve M. Hutson Campbell Hayden and Charles Rockwell Campbell. She married Charles “Bill” W. Allen. He survives. She had resided in Attica until retirement when she moved to Florida. She graduated from Attica High School in 1943. She was a member of the American Diabetes Association, Deborah Hospital Foundation of Sarasota, American Legion Auxiliary #52, Ladies of Samoor Grotts, Upper Level Senior Citizens of Fountain and Warren Counties, Ladies Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Ladies of the Elks #1519, Ladies of Sakib Shrine Temple. She was a past secretary-treasurer of Forest Lakes Country Club Estate in Sarasota. She was a life member of VFW Auxiliary #3318 in Attica. She formerly worked at Harrison Steel Casting Company in the office during the war and for the railroad. She was a secretary for Keith Barnhart Attorney and kept books for McCracken & Rodgers Insurance Co. She was past co-owner of Attica Ready-Mix Concrete and secretary there for many years before retiring. Survivors, besides the husband, include: a son, John Max (Sharon) Dill, and a daughter, Tedi (Charles) Stafford, both of Attica; a step daughter, Lesta (Dan) Taylor, Greenwood; a brother, Wilbur Campbell, Williamsport; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a niece, Patti (Don) Brown, Attica. She was preceded in death by her parents; a step father, John C. Hayden; a step mother, Florence Hickman Campbell; and a grandson, Trevor Dill. She will be cremated by the National Cremation Society of Sarasota, Fla. There will be no services. Maus Funeral Home, Attica, local contact.
