ALLEN, Vernon Cliston - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Vernon C. Allen, 70, of Kingman Route 1, a retired farmer, died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday (June 4, 1980) at his home. Robert DeVerter, Fountain County coroner, attributed death to natural causes. Born Sept. 4, 1909, in Indiana, he was the son of Isam and Mandy Zackmire Allen. He was married August 18, 1934, to Pauline Carter, who survives. Other survivors, include a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Flint, and a son, James B., both of San Antonio, Texas, a sister, Mrs. Verna Smith of Kingman; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 2 pm. Saturday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman. The Rev. Forrest Stickler will officiate. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
