M. Sgt. Stallard Allen, 60, of the Independence community on Arrica Route 3, was found dead (Sept. 21, 1972) by a news carrier. It is believed that he died in his residence about 8 a.m. He had been ill for several days. Sgt. Allen resided alone. Warren County Corner, Harold Brazzell said death was attributed to natural causes. Born March 14, 1912, in Danville, he was the son of Ray H. and Lucy M. Wagner Allen. He had resided most of his life in Independence, but also had resided in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a military man, having served in the Army for 21 years. He had worked in Washington, D. C., on special services and had been employed by CA and NS Railroad. He was a member of Riverview United Methodist Church in Independence. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Lucy Allen, and a sister, Miss Emma Elizabeth Allen, both of Las Vegas; and a brother Wilbur Ray Allen of Maryland. tch
