Attica - Raymond Lee Allen, 34 died at 6:10 a.m. Monday at his home at 206 North Perry Street, after an illness of four months. Born in Warren County, he married Velma Jean Olson of Attica in 1947. He was a bartender at Holder's tavern here. A veteran of WWII, he was a member of Attica Eagles lodge. Surviving with the widow are a son, Donnie Ray and a daughter, Karen Sue, both at home; four brothers, John and Earl of Williamsport; Clyde of Attica; and Charles of Lafayette; three sisters, Mrs. Morris Drane, Miss Edith Allen and Miss Eva May Allen, all of Attica, and his mother, Mrs. Bertha Allen, also of Attica - kbz

Raymond Lee Allen, 34, bartender at the Holder Tavern in Attica died at his home 206 N Perry St at 6 a.m. Monday. Mr. Allen was born Aug 19, 1922 in Warren County, son of John and Bertha Jane Foster Allen. He was a member of the Order of Eagles and was a veteran of three years’ service during World War II. He married Velma Olson March 28, 1947 and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Donnie Ray, age 8; a daughter, Karen Sue, age 7; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Allen of Attica; four brothers, John and Earl of Williamsport; Charles of Lafayette and Clyde of Attica; and three sisters, Mrs. Morris Drane, Miss Edith and Miss Eva Mae all at home with his mother. Services were Wednesday at DeSutter Funeral Home with burial in Riverside Cemetery. – kbz
