Attica, Ind.—Mrs. Pollyann Allen, 39, wife of the minister of the Attica Church of the Nazarene, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday (Dec. 16, 1966) in Marion County, Ind., General Hospital, Indianapolis, of injuries received when the car her husband was driving struck a bridge railing in Marion County at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday. Investigating police said the car, driven by the Rev. Irad Allen, was traveling on Interstate 65 when it struck the bridge railing over Eagle Creek near Indianapolis. Death was attributed to multiple fractures. The Rev. Mr. Allen was treated at the hospital for face and hand cuts and released. Mrs. Allen was born June 27, 1927, the daughter of Marvin R. and Pauline Dennison Cripe. She was graduated from Asbury College in Kentucky. Mrs. Allen and her husband were former Indianapolis residents before moving to Attica. In the Attica church, she was a Sunday school teacher, treasurer of the NYPS and director of the Junior Fellowship. The Allens resided at 103 W. New St. in Attica. Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Gochenour, Westfield, Ind.; a son, Gordon, a senior at Attica High School; a sister, Mrs. Florence Cripe, Florida, and a brother, William, Portland, Ind. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Ray Street Church of the Nazarene, Indianapolis. The Farley Funeral Home, Indianapolis, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
