Phoebe Adaline Allen, 25, wife of Norman Allen of Covington, died at 2 p.m. Sunday Nov 12, at Lakeview hospital, Danville, Ill. She was born in Covington Jan 7 1914, the daughter of Caleb and Henrietta Carrier Brakley, and is survived by her husband, one son Norman Eugene Allen, her mother, one sister Mrs. Mary Utesch and four brothers, Leroy and Caleb of Covington and Lorin and George of Hammond Ind. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Nov 14 at the Fifth Street Christian Church in Covington, conducted by Rev. O. w. McGaughey with burial at Mt. Hope cemetery.
