-- San Antonio, Tx -- Pauline M. Allen, 73 former resident of Kingman died at 8:30 p.m. Friday in SW Texas Methodist Hospital at San Antonio. She had been hospitalized since Oct 1. She was a member of Centennial Community Church and was graduated from Kingman HS. She had been employed as a school cook and nursing assistant in the Veterans Administration Hospital at Danville, Ill. Mrs. Allen was born Feb 25, 1912 in Fountain County, a daughter of James A. and Maude Mayfield Carter. She was married on Aug 18, 1934 to Veron C. Allen. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1980. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Flint; a son, James Allen and 3 grandchildren, all of San Antonio, Tx; a sister-in-law, Verna Smith and nephew, Kenneth Smith of Kingman; two great nieces and cousins. A memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Roy Akers Funeral Home at San Antonio. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the Woodrow Funeral Home, Kingman with Rev. Phillip Huey officiating. Interment in the Centennial Cemetery East of Yeddo. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
