Mrs. Mary (Mollie) Allen, 81, died at the home of her son, A. T. allen, Rt. 1, Veedersburg. She had been at his home two weeks. Born in Parke County March 25 1884, she was married Jan 1 1903, to Andrew Allen. He preceded her in death in 1956. Surviving are five sons, Freemont of Rockville, Archie of Veedersburg, Marion and Carl of Detroit, Mich., and Andrew Jr. of Tangier; four daughters, Mrs. Claude DePlanty of Rockville, Mrs. George Harris of Veedersburg, Mrs. Clarence Thomas of Tangier and Mrs. Everett Crowder of Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. Bert Harvey, Wallace; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She had spent several year with her daughter Mrs. Crowder in Lafayette and a year and a half in the George Harris home in Veedersburg. She was the mother of Freemont Allen, who lived here for many years and was founder of the nursing home in Attica. Funeral arrangements are pending at DeSutter Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary (Mollie) Allen, age 81, a life resident of Parke County and the Kingman area who died Tuesday, Jan 18 at the home of a son, A.T. Allen, Veedersburg Rt 1, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Wolf Creek Church near Wallace. The Rev. Ruth Isaacs officiated and burial was in Wolf Creek, Cemetery. The DeSutter Funeral Home at Attica was in charge. Surviving in addition to the son near Veedersburg, are two daughters, Mrs. Everett Crowder of Lafayette and Mrs. Clarence Thomas of Tangier; one sister, Mrs. Bert harvey of Wallace and one great great grandchild.
