ALLEN, Mary Grace Mitchell - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Mary Grace Allen, age 53, a native of Cates, died at 7 o'clock Tuesday evening, Nov. 21, at her home at 462 South Luett St., Indianapolis. Mrs. Allen was born in Cates May 4, 1908, the daughter of Charlie and Flora Teegarden Mitchell. She was married in 1926 to Kenneth Allen, who survives. Mrs. Allen had resided in Crawfordsville for 10 years prior to moving to Indianapolis 25 years ago. She was a member of the Fleming Garden Christian Church in Indianapolis. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are: three children, Mrs. Darlene June Hostelter, Kenneth Jr., and Mrs. Sandra Sue Berry, all of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; two brothers, Sewell Mitchell of Yeddo and Doyne Mitchell of Los Angeles, Calif., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. The body is at the Moore and Kirk Funeral Home in Indianapolis where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a. m. Friday at the Fleming Garden Christian Church. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery here Friday afternoon.
