Mrs. Martha Jane Allen, 86, 818 N. Virginia Ave., died at 7 p.m. Monday (April 7, 1969) in the Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton after a lengthy illness. Born Feb 4, 1883 in Orange County, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Rector. Surviving are two sons; James Allen, Rockville; Raymond "Bud" Allen, Anderson, and four daughters; Mrs. Vilolet Milburn, Anderson, and Mrs. Gladys Mitchell, Mrs. Ruby Smith and Mrs. Anna Myers, all of Rockville. There are also 26 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Rockville Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements are pending at Barnes Mortuary.
