Covington - Mrs. Juanita Faye Allen, 59, resident of the Stringtown area, Rt 1, Covington died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill, after a four-month illness. A life resident of Fountain County she was a graduate of Kingman HS. She was a member of Cooper chapel EUB Church and Wabash Township Home Ec. Club. Mrs. Allen was born March 20, 1908 in Yeddo, the daughter of Clayton and Addie Orvis Sowers. She was married to Virgil Allen, May 5, 1928. He died aug 11, 1967. Surviving are two sons, Ronnell of Ft. Wayne and Gordon of Rt 2, Kingman; a sister, Mrs. Marjorie WIlson of Rt 4, Crawfordsville and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here. The Rev. John Meyers and the Rev. Nelson Vance officiated. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Wayne and Gordon of Rt 2, Kingman; a sister, Mrs. Marjorie Wilson, Rt 4, Crawfordsville and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here with Rev. John Meyers and Rev. Nelson Vance officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may pay respects at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday. The family requests that that instead of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

The daughter of Clayton and Addie Orvis Sowers, she was born March 20, 1908 at Yeddo, Ind. She was married May 5, 1928 to Virgil Allen who preceded her in death August 11, 1967. Surviving are two sons, Ronnell of Ft. Wayne and Gordon of Kingman Rt 2; a sister, Marjorie Wilson of Crawfordsville Rt 4, and 9 grandchildren. Mrs. Allen was a member of Cooper's Chapel EUB and a member of Wabash Twp Home Demonstration Club. A graduate of Kingman HS she was a life resident of Fountain County. Friends will be received after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, Rev. John Meyer and Rev. Nelson Vance officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. The family has suggested memorials be giving to the Cancer Society.
