Homer Eston Allen, 82, formerly of Cates, died in Punta Gorda Medical Center Punta Gorda, Fla at 6 a.m. today Sept 22, 1969. he was a retired farmer and had lived there for the pst 20 years. He was born Oct 29, 1886 in Fountain County, Ind the son of George & Rose Allen. He was marr to the former Junnie Shoaf who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Willia, (Obeta) Norris of Rockville; two sons, Uhlein Allen of Pine Island Fla ; Morris Allen of Anderson; 10 grandch 11 greats. He was preceded in death by a son, Hancel who was killed in WWII. Mr. Allen was a member of the Punta Gorda Nazarene Church. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Tudor Funeral Home in Rockville.

Cates, Ind -- Services for Homer Eston Allen, 82, formerly of Cates, who died Monday morning in Punta Gorda, FL will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cates United Methodist Church. Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Tudor Funeral Home in Rockville after 2 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services.
