ALLEN, Dale E. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Danville, Il - Dale E. Allen, 50 of Danville, Ill died in Lakeview Hospital here on Saturday (Feb 28). He had been a patient 4 days and had been ill several months. He served with the 38th Infantry Division in the US Army in 1946. Born June 17, 1925, he was a son of Charles and Estella Grimes Allen of Kingman. He married Evelyn Strebing in 1968. Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Miss Cindy Smith of Danville and Mrs. Vickie Conner of Covington; a son Tom Allen of Covington; a brother, Donald of Corsicana, Tx; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ila Bales of Mellott; Mrs. Delores Rogers of Veedersburg and Mrs. Evelyn Boatman of Danville, Ill and four grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Lakeside Funeral Chape, Danville with Rev. Gary Morning officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville. Friends may call at the funeral home between 7-9 o'clock tonight.
