ALLEN, Anna Chizum - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Anna ALLEN, widely known resident of Veedersburg died at the lake View Hospital, Danville Sunday morning. She entered the hospital several days ago for treatment and observation afterward submitting to an operation for gall bladder trouble. her condition seemed greatly improved except that she suffered a serious heart affection. her condition suddenly became alarming Saturday night and she died shortly after midnight. Mrs. Allen was a life long resident of Veedersburg having been born in Veedersburg daughter of James & Rebecca Richardson Chizum. She married Charles Allen, Veedersburg barber shop owner who died several years ago. Mrs. Allen was 58. Surviving are one son, VeLora Allen, Veedersburg and Mrs. Trenna King, NY City, and four grandchildren. Another son, Dallas, died several years ago. Funeral services conducted by Rev. OW McGaughey were held at family residence on Mill Street, Wednesday afternoon. Burial at Rockfield Cemetery.
